Copied by Johannes Dreher. From the Benedictine Monastery SS Ulrich and Afra Augsburg. Boetticher believes that this MS was begun in 1572, but was only 'gradually continued'; this view is contradicted by the date of the fair copy which is added to each mass (Cf. BoetticherL, 508).

Binding
bright leather cover (for stamp see: KyrissAB, 156 Nrs 3, also similarly HaeblerI, 464 No. 1, but not ascribed). On the front cover, impressed, are the words Liber Primus Missarum Quator vocum Authore Orlando di Lasso Anno Domini 1572, and at the lower margin S.Udalricus S.Afra. On the back is Sacr Miss V,VI,IV vocum und XII; on the front pastedown Cat.Musik in folio Nr 36. Remnants of four cloth claps, 6 leather tabs at the edge.
