General Description

Fragments from an early-16th-century partbook that appear to have served as lining for a round letter box (no longer with the documents) in which other documents with seals were kept: two circles (one cut across the gutter of an opening), one long upright strip (all the above photographed as 1r-v) and two horizontal strips of bifolia (prob different bifolia), cut right across the width of the book plus one very small fragment (these photographed as 2r-3v).
