General Description

A Sextus partbook from a set of six volumes, each of which is a composite of originally separate fascicles later bound together. Main scribe possibly Erasmus Zollner, cantor at Gymnasium Poeticum in Regensburg during 1570's; also copied by several additional scribes. Copied mostly or entirely in Regensburg; probably used by choir of Gymnasium Poeticum in local evangelical services.

Original covers of parchment over cardboard, with white leather spine and leather ties; paper slip pasted to front cover of Discantus book bears inscription: 'Missae 6 Vocum / No. 16.'
