General Description

Several pieces of parchment originally used as a cover, one large folded leaf (i-ii) is part of a service book, the other 2 leaves are polyphonic. Now positioned in the front on the new binding. The body of the book is under NR/JB in the archive's online records, the document is the Borough Court of Record: Court Books (1429–1793). The description states: "Until 1616 there is a combined series of court books for the borough court of record and the hundred court (later Quarter Sessions); after this date they divide into two separate series (see NR/JQ). Details regarding procedure, etc, in both courts are to be found in the borough custumal (NR/LC/1)" But does not mention the covers or the music leaves.
