General Description

An Altus partbook from a set of four volumes, each consisting of the print RISM 1538/8, with manuscript additions; the Tenor book does not have, or has lost, these ms additions. Part I was copied by several scribes; the texts in Part II (in the Bassus book only) were copied by a single scribe. Originated at the Löbau Latin school. The manuscript was at one time in the Löbau Ratsbibliothek, but was deposited at the library in Dresden in 1890.

(Brück)-1, (Händl)-1, Ivo de Vento-1, Lange-1, (Senfl)-6, anon-2 4 paper partbooks, each consisting of the print RISM 1538/8, with manuscript additions (D-5 folios, A-5, T-0, B-8), ca. 160 x 203. No foliation. Original parchment covers; front cover missing for books 1-2. Part I was copied by several scribes; the texts in Part II were copied by a single scribe.

Part I: ca. 1590; Part II: ca. 1650 (SteudeMS). Originated at the Löbau Latin school. The manuscript was at one time in the Löbau Ratsbibliothek, but was deposited at the library in Dresden in 1890.
