Music is a later addition and appears to be unrelated to the main text. This MS was given to Southwick Priory of St Mary's Augustinian canons by a John Katerington, according to a s. xiv/xv inscription (MR James). Katerington occurs 1366-1404 in the records of Winchester Cathedral Priory (Greatrex); therefore the music was not written by him but probably by somebody else at Southwick later on. The music is crudely drawn and seems to contain up to 4 parts of a short piece. 2, have 2 corrupt texts, which James suggests reads 'de lan gar sovstes', though Lisa Colton prefers 'de langar soustee'.

RISM Description
The manuscript is from c. 1325, but the music looks to be of the 15th century and appears to be unrelated to the main text. The ms was given to Southwick Priory of St Mary's Augustinian canons by a John Katerington, according to a s. xiv/xv inscription (MR James). Katerington occurs 1366-1404 in the records of Winchester Cathedral Priory (Greatrex), so the music was presumably not copied by him, but by someone at Southwick later on. The music is very roughly drawn in, and appears to contain up to 4 parts of a short piece, 2 of which have a corrupt text, which James suggests reads 'de lan gar sovstes', but Lisa Colton is more inclined to read 'de langar soustee'.
