General Description

Copied mostly by a single scribe, probably Gaspar Fernandes, chapelmaster and organist at Guatemala Cathedral 1599-1606, and at Puebla Cathedral 1606-29; same scribe also wrote GuatC 2, PueblaC 1, and ff. 37'-39' of PueblaC 2. Copied in Guatemala City, for use by cathedral choir.

Restored in mid 18th century, when a piece was added by different scribe on (unnumbered) opening folios ii'-v.

Deposited at the Archivo Histórico Arquidiocesano "Francisco de Paula García Peláez", Ciudad de Guatemala (GCA-Gaha). Requests for consultations should be directed there.
