General Description

A Bassus partbook from an incomplete set of three volumes. The second part of 15a was formerly part of BudOS 20; 15b and 15c were formerly part of Bártfa Mus. Pr. 15 in this library, but they contain the same pieces as 15a and were recently transferred to this manuscript. The liminary inscription states that the books came from Lusatia (Lausitz) to Nehren in 1593; from there at some later date they reached the Church of St. Aegidi in Bártfa (= Bartfeld = Bardejov). Brought to the National Library in Budapest in 1915.
