General Description

n Antiphonary from Paradies bei Soest. The polyphony, a small piece of 2-part Dominican polyphony for a Gloria patri appears on f. 252v of a lavishly decorated gathering added in the late 14th century.

Further related fragments found at Harvard, Ms. Typ 1095, are of a sequence and not polyphonic. The Harvard leaves come from a Gradual, of which another leaf is now in the Graphische Sammlung in Munich. All three must have come from a Gradual that looked very much like D 11, now also in Duesseldorf. A later Gradual from the same convent is D 12. The antiphonary is divided into summer and winter parts, D 7 & 9
