General Description
Physical Description
Some folios at end stained by water, but music remains legible
Binding
Manuscript restored in 1982-3. Original covers apparently no longer extant.
Notation
black void mensural
Date
1565 (date on f. [i] and f. 361).
Ruling
Staff height 32-33
Foliation
Original ink and modern pencil foliation. CCm states modern foliation 1-362 (f. 35 misnumbered as '36,' but correctly counted as 35 by enumeration) with 290-299' omitted; but the online images show a (new?) continuous foliation 1-352. (RISM-online states that when the manuscript was rebound in 1983 some gatherings were mixed up, so that the order between ff. 138-156 is confused; the online images are however in sequence.)
Folios 95v-97 blank and unruled, 351v-352v blank but ruled.
Decoration
Large inked initials in plain block style.
Index
Original index/title page on f. [i] lists all Masses in order of appearance, with attributions.
Surface
paper
