A Discantus II partbook from a set originally of six volumes (Discantus I now missing). Main scribe was Cornelius Freundt (ca. 1535-91), cantor at Church of St. Mary, Zwickau; two additional scribes. Copied in Zwickau, for use at Church of St. Mary.

5 paper partbooks of an original 6 (D2-31 folios, A-23, T1-31, T2-25, B-31), 211 x 165. New pencil foliation in each book. Original numbering of pieces in red ink, 1-7 + modern numbering of pieces, 8-10. Blank folios, or blank staves only—D2: 1', 14-31'; A: 1', 20'-23'; T1: 1'-2', 18-31'; T2: 8-25'; B: 1', 17-31'. Original leather(?) covers now missing from all books. No index. Main scribe was Cornelius Freundt (ca. 1535-91), cantor at Church of St. Mary, Zwickau (see general index for other manuscripts copied by the same scribe); two additional scribes. Attributions, some headings, and some words of text in red ink; no other decoration.
