Copied by Johannes Parvus (BraunerP). Copied in Rome, possibly for use at Church of Santa Maria Maggiore. Several gatherings now at beginning of VatSM 32 originally formed continuation of VatSM 36 (f. 85' of VatSM 36 and f. 1 of VatSM 32 were facing pages).

Some folios damaged by ink corrosion; some music now illegible. Modern pencil foliation, 1-85, on upper center rectos (original flyleaf numbered as "1"; first folio numbered "1bis"). Rebound in modern covers of dark brown leather over boards. No index. Copied by Johannes Parvus (BraunerP); see general index for other manuscripts copied by the same scribe. Staff height 21. Inked calligraphic initials. Watermark: crossed arrows surmounted by six-pointed star (see BraunerP for other manuscripts with same mark).
