6 paper partbooks, originally separate but now bound together to form composite manuscript of ii + 186 + i folios, 140 x 197. Upper right and lower right corners of last 36 folios now missing, apparently due to fire damage.
Original ink foliation in each book mostly obliterated by later trimming; modern stamped foliation, 1-186, on upper right rectos. New ff. 1-36' = original B book; ff. 37-70' = D; ff. 71-98' = Q; ff. 99-116' = S; ff. 117-150' = T; ff. 151-186' = A. Blank staves only on ff. 17-20, 32-33', 55-56', 66-67', 88-88', 98, 109, 114'-116, 135-136', 146-147', 169'-172', 182-183'. Covers of dark brown leather over cardboard probably date from 18th century; spine gold tooled with inscription "ANONI MUSICA." No index. Copied by one main scribe, with a few slightly later additions by four other scribes. Staff height 11. No initials or decoration. Watermark generally resembles Briquet #3266.
Late 16th century. Probably copied in Turin, for use by court chapel of Carlo Emanuele I (1562-1630), Duke of Savoy.
