General Description

Present manuscript is second of original set of two choirbooks containing music for double chorus; first choir-book no longer extant. Copied by two or three main scribes, who also wrote portions of TrevBC 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 16, 19, 22, and several other TrevBC manuscripts not within scope of this catalogue; later additions by two other scribes, one of whom also made additions in TrevBC 7, 8, 9, 14, and 22. Copied in Treviso, for use by cathedral choir.

Many concordances with TrevBC 24 & possibly in part copied from it (Carver 1980),

Original ink foliation, 1-75 (ff. 1-7, 63-69 now missing; "45" and "47" omitted; three consecutive folios numbered "48"; two consecutive folios numbered "59"). No index.
