Original foliation in red ink i-lxvii; lxix-cxv beginning on fol. 2, 1 fol. between li and lii was not numbered and shows a modern pencil folio number 51; four folios between lxvii and lxix were numbered in pencil as 68, 68a, 68b, 68c.

DIAMM Note

Nelson 2001 (& Saunders 2010) identifies the anonymous mass as the Missa Du bon du cuer (Bauldeweyn/Vinders), also in Munich BS 5 & 6. - incorrectly identified in the index as another 'Missa Quam pulchra es'.

i + 119 parchment folios, 700 x 490. Original foliation in red ink, i-lxvii; lxix-cxv (one folio between ff. li/lii not numbered by original hand, but bears modern pencil number "51"; four folios between f. lxvii and f. lxix numbered "68," "68a," "68b," "68c" by modern hand). Original covers of brown leather over wooden boards, with brass bosses. Original index on front flyleaf lists pieces in order of appearance, with attributions.

Copied mostly by Martín Pérez, but ff. 68-69 copied by different hand (NooneT); see general index for other manuscripts copied by Pérez. Illuminated miniatures and borders; painted initials and inked initials in various colors. Coat of arms of Juan Tavera, Archbishop of Toledo 1534-45, and of Diego López de Ayala, canon of Toledo Cathedral, on f. 1'. Decoration is work of Francisco de Buitrago (NooneT).

1543 (date in manuscript), with addition (f. 115') from ca. 1545 (NooneT). Copied in Toledo, for use by cathedral choir.
