General Description

Copied by three scribes: (1) new ff. l'-56 + 129'-157' (also wrote ff. 105'-112, 113'-120, 129-194 of StuttL 42); (2) new ff. 57'-88'; (3) new ff. 89-123. GottH identification of third scribe as Nikolaus Peuschel probably incorrect (Call). Copied in Stuttgart, for use by court chapel of Ulrich, Duke of Württemberg (1487-1550). Originally 160 folios.

152 paper folios of an original 160, 413 x 285. Modern foliation, 1-157 (ff. 124-128, 158-160 now missing); original foliation, A-Z; Et; Con; Tur; Est; 1-129. Original covers of tooled leather over pasteboard. Original index on front cover lists Masses in order of appearance. Copied by three scribes: (1) new ff. l'-56 + 129'-157' (also wrote ff. 105'-112, 113'-120, 129-194 of StuttL 42); (2) new ff. 57'-88'; (3) new ff. 89-123.
