General Description

A Quintus partbook from an incomplete set of four volumes (12 leaves of which are bound in the Tenor partbook RosU 72/2 (2)). The last 4 pages are not bound in the Qunitus book but have a separate shelfmark 71/2 (5). Copied by three scribes, one of whom also wrote RosU 35, 40, 46, 60, 71/1, 71/3, 71/5, and portions of RosU 71/4. Probably copied in Rostock.

4 paper partbooks (A-39 folios, Q/T-12 + 34, Q-23, S-19), 220 x 155-65. Twelve folios of Q book now incorrectly bound with T book. No foliation, pagination, or numbering of pieces. No covers. No index. Copied by three scribes, one of whom also wrote RosU 35, 40, 46, 60, 71/1, 71/3, 71/5, and portions of RosU 71/4. A few inked calligraphic initials. Watermarks: (1) wild boar (not in Briquet); (2) generally resembles Briquet #15138; (3) generally resembles Briquet #8827; (4) generally resembles Briquet #12272.
