General Description

Apparently the only surviving remnants of a larger musical manuscript. Staves apparently ruled at time of illumination, but no music entered. At considerably later time, six scribes copied present musical contents. Presumably copied in France.

8 parchment folios, 250 x 170. Apparently the only surviving remnants of a larger musical manuscript. No foliation or pagination. Rebound in modern parchment covers. No index. Each page has illuminated floral borders, of 15th-century Burgundian origin; staves apparently ruled at time of illumination, but no music entered. At considerably later time, six scribes copied present musical contents, in white mensural notation (except for one monophonic piece, in chant notation). A few small plain inked initials.

Mid 16th century? Presumably copied in France.
