General Description

Main scribe possibly Peter Steydl (BenteNW); ff. 76'-79 possibly copied by Ludwig Daser. Manuscript also contains 45 psalm texts and 2 canticle texts, without music (ff. 2-26). Copied in Munich, for use by the court chapel of Albrecht V, Duke of Bavaria (1528-79). Kept in Hofkapelle library until end of 18th century, then transferred to ducal court library, whose holdings formed foundation of present Bayerische Staatsbibliothek.

Ff. 1-1', 12-12', 14', 26'-31, 54'-55, 63'-64, 69'-70, 74'-76, 79'-82, 91'-92, 96'-98, 103'-104, 127'-128, 142'-144, 192'-193, 211', and three unnumbered flyleaves at end blank except for piece numbers, titles, and modern inscriptions.
