General Description

Main scribe possibly Peter Steydl (BenteNW); motet on ff. 138'-147? probably copied by Ludwig Daser. Some (perhaps all) 6-voice motets are arrangements of 4-voice works; additional voices possibly composed by Ludwig Daser, Matthaeus Le Maistre, or Franz Flori (BenteNW). Copied in Munich, for use by the court chapel of Albrecht V, Duke of Bavaria (1528-79). Kept in Hofkapelle library until end of 18th century, then transferred to ducal court library, whose holdings formed foundation of present Bayerische Staatsbibliothek.
