General Description

Composite of several originally separate fascicles assembled and bound in late 16th or early 17th century. The main scribe was Orazio Vecchi (cf. Tav. IX of RoncCM), who also copied ff. 94-94' of ModD 9 and ff. 8'-9, 22'-23, and 34'-51 of ModD 12; ff. 7'-34' (the pieces by Giacomo Fogliano) copied by a different scribe, who also wrote ModD 10 and parts of ModD 3,9, and 12. Copied in Modena, for use by the cathedral choir.

Modern foliation, 1-75 (two folios numbered "62"); original ink pagination, 1-54, on new ff. 7'-34; modern pagination, 57-138, on new ff. 35'-75. Covers date from late 16th or early 17th century.
