General Description

Copied by Robert Quercentius of Cambrai, identified on title page. Copied at Liège. Inscription pasted inside back cover gives name of 17th-century Spanish owner: 'Este libro es Del Señor Dn. Damaso Santos Martinez.' Owned in 19th century by the Spanish composer and scholar Francisco Asenjo Barbieri (1823-94); bequeathed to Biblioteca Nacional.

53 paper folios, 530 x 386. New pencil foliation, 1-53. Original covers of brown leather over cardboard, with ornamental pattern stamped in gold; suede spine. No index. Copied by Robert Quercentius of Cambrai, identified on title page. Inked calligraphic initials. No watermarks visible.

1552 (date on title page). Copied at Liège. Inscription pasted inside back cover gives name of 17th-century Spanish owner: "Este libro es Del Señor Dn. Damaso Santos Martinez."
