General Description

A single Altus partbook. Copied by 41 scribes, most of whom signed and dated the pieces they copied. Copied in Lüneburg, apparently for society of amateur musicians; scribes include several Lüneburg clergymen. Probably bequeathed by later owner to Lüneburg Ratsbücherei during 17th or 18th century.
