General Description

A Bassus partbook. Copied by a single scribe, who also copied OxfJ 180 and OxfJ 181 (LehurT; MorehS disputes scribal concordance). Copied in London, possibly for use in Lambeth Palace chapel services, restarted by Archbishop William Laud in 1633, or for use in Chapel Royal (MorehS). Donated to Lambeth Palace Library in early 18th century by Archbishop Thomas Tenison (1636-1715).
