General Description

Processionale, with later polyphonic addition on ff. 113'-114. Probably copied in Seville, for use by cathedral choir. Transferred to Biblioteca Colombina during 16th century, but never owned by Fernando Colón. (See SevC 5-1-43 for details of Colón's library and its subsequent history).

Monophonic contents, copied in square chant notation, identical to those of SevC 82-4-33; polyphonic motet is later addition on ff. 113'-114, copied in black void mensural notation. No initials or decoration for polyphonic motet; main corpus has large Gothic style illuminated initials, with filigree work and floral tracery extending into margins.
