General Description

Several originally separate small gatherings, each containing one voice part for one piece. Fascicles containing discantus parts for two Passions apparently lost; tenor part for German Passion incomplete. Copied by a single scribe, perhaps the composer Johannes Steurlein (1546-1613). Possibly copied in Wasungen, Thuringia (Steurlein there 1569-89), or in nearby Meiningen (Steurlein there from 1589 until his death).
