General Description

A manuscript mostly non-musical contents, though there is a music treatise on ff. 140-174 and polyphonic pieces on ff. 79'-80', 138-139'.. Copied by three scribes, probably in Leipzig. Bequeathed to Leipzig Universitätsbibliothek by Johannes Cleyne of Löbau in 1490 (inscription on f. 1).

Contents mostly non-musical, but include treatise on music (ff. 140-174) and polyphonic pieces (ff. 79'-80', 138-139'). Two pieces in black mensural notation; others in white mensural notation. Copied by three scribes. No decoration on folios with music.

Mid 15th century (date 1449 on f. 137'). Probably copied in Leipzig. Bequeathed to Leipzig Universitätsbibliothek by Johannes Cleyne of Löbau in 1490 (inscription on f. 1).
