General Description

Composite of several originally separate fascicles copied at different times. Copied by one main scribe (identified by Jas, but not CCM, as de Blauwe), with later additions by several scribes, including Johannes Flamingus; same scribal hands also appear in LeidGA 1442 and LeidGA 1443. The discrepancy in foliation is the result of the replacement of six original folios with seven new folios containing works by Johannes Flamingus. This left the motet by Jordan incomplete, and eliminated the motet by Vinders which is listed in the original index as following the Jordan piece. Main corpus perhaps copied in Brussels (though Jas argues for Leiden); later used by St. Peter's Church in Leiden, where additions were made. Subsequent history same as for LeidGA 1438.
