General Description

A quarto-size volume. It is unclear from BouckB whether the pieces are polyphonic or monophonic, or whether this is a partbook or choirbook. Text incipits only, and these were cut away in pieces #11 and #13. The manuscript once belonged to, and may have been copied by, Valentin Pralle, an organist known to have been in Hamburg in 1554. The Cod. hans. III MSS have been lost since World War II.
