General Description

6 bundles of loose paper folios containing various voice parts. Copied by Christoph Nostwitz and others. Originated at the Löbau Latin school. The manuscript was at one time in the Löbau Ratsbibliothek, but was deposited at the library in Dresden in 1890.

Gesius-3, Händl-2, (Herbschleben)-1, H. Praetorius-1, Strauss-1, anon-21

6 bundles of loose paper folios containing various voice parts, 325 x 190. No foliation, pagination, or numbering of pieces. No index. Eight pieces (monophonic) are copied in Gothic chant notation; the other pieces are in white mensural notation. Copied by Christoph Nostwitz and others. One piece bears the date "11 Februarii Anno 1620."

Ca. 1600-20 (SteudeMS). Originated at the Löbau Latin school. The manuscript was at one time in the Löbau Ratsbibliothek, but was deposited at the library in Dresden in 1890.
