1-2 were copied by Johannes Gengenbach; #3-4 were copied by Friedrich Birck (cantor at the Fürstenschule St. Augustin in Grimma from 1591 to 1621); #5-6 were copied by Johann Reinmann (cantor at the same school from 1550 to 1590). Copied at the Fürstenschule St. Augustin in Grimma.

5 German Passions

Scandello-1, (Walter)-4

ii + 123 + i paper folios, 315 x 195. The manuscript is in poor condition. New pencil foliation. Original covers of pasteboard covered with parchment from a medieval liturgical manuscript. #1-2 were copied by Johannes Gengenbach; #3-4 were copied by Friedrich Birck (cantor at the Fürstenschule St. Augustin in Grimma from 1591 to 1621); #5-6 were copied by Johann Reinmann (cantor at the same school from 1550 to 1590).

#1-2: 1593; #5: 1550 (dates in manuscript). Copied at the Fürstenschule St. Augustin in Grimma. The manuscript remained at the Fürstenschule until 1890, when it was deposited in the library at Dresden.
