General Description

A collection of chants and polyphony. The first 9 polyphonic pieces are falsobordone psalm (& canticle) settings, one in each of the 8 tones and the peregrinus.

Copied by several scribes, probably in Colditz (SteudeMS). Of Saxon origin.

1590-1700 (SteudeMS). Of Saxon origin; probably copied in Colditz (SteudeMS). Acquired by the Dresden library in 1967 from a private owner.
