General Description

An incomplete Kyriale, from a Dominican monastery in Pisa, with a collection of credos from f.55 onwards. The two two-voice pieces are copied in choirbook layout.

RISM B/IV 4: 15. Jh.; 145 Blätter Pergament, 475 x 320 mm. Originale Foliierung von f. XXXVII-CLXXXI, daneben jüngere Foliierung von f. 37-181. Je Seite 6 Vierliniensysteme mit Quadratnotation mit teilweise mensuralen Elementen (einzelne Stellen mit roter Quadratnotation). - Einband: mit Leder überzogene Holzdeckel, Messingbeschläge.

Diese Handschrift ist ein aus dem Dominikanerkloster in Pisa stammendes, zu Beginn unvollständiges Kyriale des 15. Jh. Ab f. 55 steht eine Credo-Sammlung, zu der sich auf f. 53/54 ein Spezialindex findet. Die beiden zweistimmige Stücke sind in Chorbuchnotation geschrieben.

XXXVII-CLXXXI, along with later foliation of f. 37-181. 6 four-line systems per page with square notation with partial mensural elements (some instances of red square notation). - Binding: wood covered with leather cover, brass fittings.

This manuscript originated in the Dominican monastery in Pisa. It begins with an incomplete Kyriale of the 15th century. From f.55 there is a collection of credos , for which there is an index on f.53/54. The two two-voice pieces are copied in choir book layout.
