General Description

A single Discantus partbook, probably from a set of five or more, consisting of the print RISM 1545/5 plus manuscript additions. Copied by several scribes, one of whom was Johann Frisch (inscription on f. 29: 'Scripsit hoc Johannes Frisch manus ,Norimberg Anno 1610. 9 Novemb[ris]'); another one of the scribes also appears in BudOS 24 (Fox).

Portions of BudOS 8 may have been copied from BudOS P1 (MurIO), or alternatively BudOS P1 was copied from BudOS 8 (CC2). Part II was copied in Nuremberg.

From the Church of St. Aegidi in Bartfa {= Bartfeld = Bardejov). Brought to the National Library in Budapest in 1915.
