General Description

2 choirbooks bound together, but with sections interleaved (vol. I: ff. 1-53, 173-211, 213-234, 259-336; Vol. II: ff. 54-120, 122-172, 235-258, 337-373). Scribal concordance with BrusC 27088. 'Clemens non Papa' appears twice on a flyleaf and may be an autograph signature (KemCP). Copied in Beaumont (ClemensO). Once in the library of Federico Olmeda de San José (1865-1909). Following Olmeda's death, the manuscript was offered for sale by Hiersemann Antiquariat in Leipzig; it was purchased in 1912 by the Brussels Conservatoire.

2 paper choirbooks bound together (Vol. I: ff. 1-53, 173-211, 213-234, 259-336; Vol. II: ff. 54-120, 122-172, 235-258, 337-373), Vol. I: 540 x 382; Vol. II: 540 x 399. The original foliation may have been cut off by the binder. Covers are apparently slightly later than the rest of the manuscript. An index appears on an unnumbered flyleaf. Scribal concordance with BrusC 27088. "Clemens non Papa" appears twice on a flyleaf and may be an autograph signature (KemCP).

Before 1549 (ClemensO); 1560-70 (Bori). Copied in Beaumont (ClemensO). Once in the library of Federico Olmeda de San José (1865-1909). Following Olmeda's death, the manuscript was offered for sale by Hiersemann Antiquariat in Leipzig; it was purchased in 1912 by the Brussels Conservatoire.
