Prussz (monophony), Rollant, anonymous
4 whole and 2 half folios (originally 10 half folios; 8 of these were joined together into 4 whole folios), ca. 273 x 200. Manuscript originally part of a liturgical book arranged according to the church calendar. Recovered by Johannes Wolf from a pasteboard binding cover. Notational styles highly diverse — some Gothic chant notation; some black and white mensural notation. Sometimes only simple strokes are used, but these may acquire mensural significance from being doubled, etc. Watermark (ox head) similar to some from Augsburg, ca. 1470.
