General Description

A Tenor partbook. Copied by several scribes. Most pieces have text incipits only, often highly corrupt. A note pasted to the flyleaf states that the manuscript was formerly appended to a copy of Frische teutsche Liedlein (issued in several parts; see RISM 1539/27, 1540/21, 1549/36, 1553/30, 1556/28). Of German origin. Formerly owned by A. Birlinger, of Bonn (note on front flyleaf).
