Alder-1, anon-13

i + 18 + i paper folios, 325 x 208. New pencil foliation. New brown cardboard covers. No index. A few titles in red. At least two scribes.

Bears the date 1534. Probably copied at Neuenburg. Inscription "Liber Musicalis pro Christophoro Alutarii Nouocastrense" [= Christoph Gerber of Neuenburg] (RichKM).

Alder-1, (Sporer)-1, (Tritonius)-2, anon-11

i + 18 + i paper folios, 325 x 208. Modern pencil foliation, 1-14 + 14a-17, on upper right rectos. Rebound in modern brown cardboard covers. No index. Copied by Christoffel Wyssgerber (JennyCW; see below). Staff height 18. A few titles in red. Watermarks: (1-2) crown (two variants, neither in Briquet).

1534 (date in manuscript). Copied in Basel. Original owner and compiler was Christoffel Wyssgerber [= Christophorus Alutarius], employed ca. 1529-39 at School of St. Martin, Basel. Owned in 19th century by Remigius Faesch, a Basel lawyer; probably acquired by present library in 1823.
