General Description

4 partbooks (Discantus, Altus, Tenor and Bassus), bound in a single volume. Copied by several - probably 3 - scribes. Of Spanish origin, probably from Barcelona.

Each book has covers of parchment cut from chant manuscripts; the four books are bound in one volume with modern covers of white paste-board.

Watermark

Latin cross in a circle with letters beneath, PP or PR. Loosely-similar marks in Briquet are dated 1582-1600, in Piccard 1577-1631; Valls (Historia del papel en Espana) has similar examples 1603-1623.

16ff in each book. Original ink pagination. (Inventory follows pagination of the Discantus book.) The two lamentations by Pujol are on a bifolio inserted into the sextern which otherwise comprises each book.
