XVIe s. 140ff. papier, 580 x 432 mm. Foliotation ancienne en ch. romains en haut des ff. Les ff. 9v, 10, 100v, 101, 107v, 108, 116v, 117, 121v, 122, 140v à 146 sont blancs. Notation mesurée blanche. 8 à 10 portées par p. Au f. limin. n. ch.: Tabula huius libri (par ordre alphabétique d'incipit). Aux ff. lv-2, miniatures avec les armes de la Cappella Giulia et des Della Rovere, celles de Jules II, de Alessandro Ruffini, préfet de la chapelle, et celles de Paul III. Reliure du XVIe s. de cuir estampé, coins et bouillons de métal.

Ce ms. a été copié par Giovanni Parvo qui reçoit pour ce «libro delle hymni» deux paiements successifs en 1540 et 1541. Mais les deux hymnes de Palestrina (nos 31 et 32) ont été commandés plus tard à Pietro Terzetti qui les copie en 1587 (Llorens, 62. Cf. Bibliographie), tandis que les 13 derniers hymnes, anonymes dans le ms., mais qui sont en réalité de Carpentras (nos 33 à 45) font vraisemblablement partie de la première rédaction du ms., Carpentras ayant quitté la chapelle papale dès 1526.
