RISM

XVIe s. 53ff. + 1f. limin. Parchemin, 533 x 364 mm. Foliotation factice. Les ff. limin r-v, lv, 2, 3, 51v à 53v sont blancs. Notation mesurée blanche. 11 portées par p. Initiales et marges enluminées aux ff. 3v, 4, 17v, 18, 27v, 28, les autres petites capitales ornées en couleurs. Reliure du XVIIIe s.

Ms. d'une seule main. Une lettre de Carpentras, copiée en lettres d'or au f. 2v., sous les armes du pape Clément VII, précise que le ms. contient la version évisée des Lamentations que le compositeur dédie au pape Clément VII, n'ayant pas été satisfait à l'audition de ses Lamentations telles qu'il les avait composées auparavant pour Léon X, ce qui date cette nouvelle version, et aussi la copie, entre 1524 et 1530.

Toutes les Lamentations du ms. sont publiées in CMM 58, II d'après l'édition imprimée chez de Channey à Avignon en 1532 et qui représente la dernière version révisée par Carpentras.

ii + 51 + í parchment folios, 535 x 364. No original foliation; modern stamped foliation, 1-53, on lower right rectos (excludes first flyleaf). Covers of medium brown leather over boards, gold stamped with decorative designs and floral motifs, date from 18th century (LlorCS). No index. Copied by a single scribe. Staff height 21. Illuminated miniatures, initials, and borders on ff. 3'-4, 17'-18, and 27'-28; other folios have painted initials in Gothic style. Dedication from Carpentras to Pope Clement VII on f. 2' includes latter's coat of arms.
