General Description

A leaf that covered the binding of the printed book Palat.III.58 in the Vatican (Feyrabend Sigmund, Geschlechter Buch ... Frankfurt / Main 1580), as reported in 1913 in E. M. Bannister, Monumenti, p. 189 No. 871: 'Palat. Stamp. III, 58. Cinque linee rosse; guida, pes con linea ascendente, terminante con punto.'

Removed later (to be integrated with the collections of MSs. Vatic. Lat.) from the binding of the printed volume which now has a modern binding on which notes in lead pencil in the hand of Giovanni Vercati are written on the inside: 'La legatura era ricoperta con un foglio membranaceo di un graduale contenente l'introito del Com. Virg. XV).'

The MS. not yet catalogued, was not available to readers at the time the RISM description was written.

RISM Description

XVe s. 1 f. Parchemin, format actuel 430 x 320 mm.

Bannister, Monumenti, p. 189 no 871: «Palat. Stamp. III, 58.
