RISM Description

RISM BIV/4: 15. Jh.; 117 Blätter Pergament + 1 Vorsatzblatt, 595 x 450 mm. Moderne Foliierung von f. 1-117. Je Seite 5 rote Vierliniensysteme mit Quadratnotation; f. 116v/117r Fünfliniensysteme mit weißer Mensuralnotation -Einband: mit Leder überzogene Holzdeckel mit Metallschließen.

Diese Handschrift ist ein Antiphonar des 15. Jh. aus dem Dom von Parma. Mehrstimmig ist nur ein im 16. Jh. nachgetragenes Stück.

i + 117 parchment folios, 595 x 450. Modern foliation, 1-117. Original covers of black leather over wooden boards, with metal clasps. Monophonic contents copied in square chant notation on red 4-line staves; polyphonic Benedicamus domino (ff. 116'-117) is later addition in white mensural notation on 5-line staves. Miniatures and decorative initials attributed in manuscript to Damiano Moili or his workshop (MasseraS).

Late 15th century (main corpus); polyphonic piece added in 16th century. Copied in Parma, for use by cathedral choir.
