Monophonic contents copied by several scribes; polyphonic motets on ff. 10-12' and 25'-32 copied by a single scribe. Polyphonic motet on f. 75' is later addition by a different hand. Copied in Zwickau (inscription on f. 98).

RISM Description

RISM BIV/3: 16. Jh.; 104 Blätter Papier, 308 x 210 mm. Moderne Foliierung von f. 1-104. Je Seite bis zu 11 Vier- oder Fünfliniensysteme mit gotischer Choralnotation und ausnahmsweise deutscher choral-mensuraler Mischnotation sowie auf f. 75v weißer Mensuralnotation - Einband: 16. Jh.; stark beschädigt, mit Leder überzogene Holzdeckel.

Diese Handschrift ist ein Lektionar, das vermutlich im frühen 16. Jh. und sicherlich in Zwickau geschrieben worden ist.

Original covers of black leather over boards; remnants of leather ties. No index. Monophonic contents in Gothic chant notation, copied by several scribes. Polyphonic motets on ff. 10-12' and 25'-32 in mixed Gothic chant notation and black mensural notation, copied by a single scribe; polyphonic motet on f. 75' is later addition in white mensural notation by a different hand. Gothic style and plain block style initials, some in red or green.
