General Description

These folios were probably a flyleaf or a cover of some volume in the library of one of the religious institutions suppressed in 1860. Discovered by Hans David. Inscription across one margin: 'Theophilact TE … ' From northern Italy or southern Germany (PirrCP).

RISM Description

RISM B/IV 4: 15. Jh.; 2 Blätter Pergament, 252 x 170 mm. Moderne Foliierung A/B. Je Seite 8 rote Fünfliniensysteme mit schwarzer Mensuralnotation um 1400.

Dieses erst kürzlich entdeckte Fragment diente offenbar längere Zeit als Vorsatz- oder Deckblatt. Ursprünglich gehörte es vermutlich einer (italienischen ?) Handschrift des frühen 15. Jh. an.

[Translation: Two 15th-century parchment folios, 252 x 170 mm. Modern foliation A/B. Each side has 8 red 5-line staves per page with black mensural notation c. 1400.

This newly discovered fragment was obviously longer than the cover or wrapper. Originally, it was probably an (Italian?) Manuscript of the early 15th Century.
