General Description

This leaf contains two-part works in score that follow the monophonic Christmas song: Puer nobis nascitur. It probably belonged to the Abbess Mechtild Wilde († 1535), whose successors used it to cover the Spendbuches of the monastery.

RISM Description

RISM BIV/3: 14./15. Jh.; 1 Pergament-Blatt, 306 x 232 mm. Je Seite 12 schwarze Fünfliniensysteme mit gotischer Choralnotation und grünen Distinktionsstrichen.

Das wohl um 1400 beschriebene Blatt stammt aus dem Einband des von der Äbtissin Mechtildwilde († 1535) und ihren Nachfolgerinnen geführten Spendbuches des Klosters. Das zweistimmige Procedentem ist in Partitur notiert; im Anschluß daran einstimmige Weihnachtsgesänge (Puer nobis nascitur).

The leaf described originates around 1400 and probably belonged to the Abbess Mechtild Wilde († 1535) whose successors used it to cover the Spendbuches of the monastery. The two-part works in score, follow the monophonic Christmas song: Puer nobis nascitur.
