General Description

RISM BIV/3: 16. Jh.; 124 Blätter Papier, 415 x 280 mm. Originale Foliierung von f. 1-124. Je Seite meist 8, von f. 91v-103 7 Fünfliniensysteme mit gotischer Choralnotation und von f. 91v-103r auch weißer Mensuralnotation - Einband: ausgehendes 16. Jh. (1591); mit Leder überzogene Holzdeckel, Messingbeschläge.

Diese 1578 und 1583 datierte Handschrift ist ein Spezialgraduale des Gabriel Rost, Scelemissarius an der Bamberger Kathedrale. Mehrstimmig sind nur die Strophen einer Cantio.

Inhalt: f. 1-74 Proprium missae für hohe Christ- und Heiligenfeste; f. 75-91 Kyriale; f. 91v-103 Sequenz „Mittit ad Virginem" wechselnd mit Cantio (siehe Incipitverzeichnis); f. 104-115 Proprium für weitere Heiligenfeste; f. 117 Epigramme; f. 108-124 Index von Stiftern.

[Translation] 16th century; 124 paper leaves, 415 x 280 mm. Original foliation 1-124. Usually 8 five-line staves, with from f. 91v-103 7 five-line staves. Gothic chant notation and on ff. 91v-103r white mensural notation. Binding: end of the 16th Century (1591), with leather-covered wooden boards, brass fittings.

This manuscript, dated 1578 and 1583 is a Spezialgraduale of Gabriel rust Scelemissarius at Bamberg Cathedral. Many voices are just the verses of a Cantio.
