General Description

Polyphony on several folios (ff. 252, 253, 254', 261-269') of a Graduale consisting of 320 folios (5 of which are paper). Copied in Prague, for use by literary brotherhood at Church of St. Gallus.

RISM Description

RISM BIV/3: 16. Jh.; 320 Blätter Pergament (davon 5 Papier), 570 x 380 mm. Moderne Foliierung von f. 1-320 (jedes 10. Blatt mit Bleistift foliiert); originale Foliierung von f. A I-XXIV bis M XXVII (mehrere Blätter fehlen). Je Seite 9 rote Fünfliniensysteme mit böhmischer Choralnotation (zum Teil mensurale Elemente) und schwarzer Mensuralnotation - Einband: datiert 1750; mit dunkelbraunem Leder überzogene Holzdeckel, Blindpressung.

Diese Handschrift ist ein Graduale der Literatenbruderschaft der St. Gallus-Kirche der Prager Altstadt („Sv. Havla v Starêm Meste Prazském") aus der 2. Hälfte des 16. Jh.

Inhalt: Alle Texte sind tschech.: Ordinarium, Proprium, Patrem.

Present covers of dark brown blind-tooled leather over wooden boards bear date 1750. Bohemian chant notation and black mensural notation on red staves. Polyphony on new ff. 252, 253, 254', 261-269'.

Second half of 16th century. Copied in Prague, for use by literary brotherhood at Church of St. Gallus.
