General Description

A gradual for the main festivals, consists of two parts: 1 f. 1-107: newer part 16th century, 2nd f. 108-192: older part, probably 15th century. The polyphonic pieces are all in the second part, and are written in score. Contents: all Latin texts from f. 70r from sequences; Kyriale f. 108-130, f. 131 polyphonic lessons as well as parts of the Proper and communion of the saints.

RISM Description

RISM BIV/3: 15./16. Jh.; 192 Blätter Papier + 5 Vorsatz- und endpapers, 290 x 215 mm. Moderne Foliierung von f. 1-192. Je Seite 8 rote Fünfliniensysteme mit böhmischer Choralnotation und vereinzelt mensuralen Elementen (vergleiche f. 134v). - Einband: modern; Karton mit Lederrücken.

Die Handschrift, ein Graduale für die Hauptfeste, besteht aus zwei Teilen: 1. f. 1-107: jüngerer Teil (16. Jh.); 2. f. 108-192: älterer Teil (vermutlich noch 15. Jh.). Die mehrstimmige Stücke stehen alle im zweiten Teil und sind in Partitur notiert. Einzelne Blätter fehlen; auch scheinen einige Blätter durcheinander geraten zu sein.

Inhalt: Alle Texte lat.: ab f. 70r Sequenzen; f. 108-130 Kyriale; ab f. 131 mehrstimmige Lektionen sowie Teile des Proprium und Commune sanctorum.
