General Description

One main scribe, with several additions from the 17th century. Probably originated in Chotusice ('Girzik Orfus Malirz z Chotiessyc' inscribed in manuscript); the book later became part of the collection of a confraternity of literati at the Church of the Holy Spirit, Hradec Králové.

RISM BIV/3: 16. Jh., 499 Blätter Papier + 1 Vorsatzblatt, 460 x 310 mm. Moderne Foliierung von f. 1-499; originale Foliierung von A I-XX bis Y I-XX (moderne f. 3-439). Je Seite meist 7 rote Fünfliniensysteme mit böhmischer Choralnotation, zum Teil mit mensuralen Elementen. - Einband: datiert mit 1564; mit weißem Leder überzogene Holzdeckel, Blindpressung, originale Beschläge und Messingschließen.

Inhalt: alle Texte sind tschech.: Ordinarium und Proprium.

Dieses tschechische Graduale des Girzik Orfus Malirz z Chotiessyc (Chotěšice) wurde 1564 vollendet (vergleiche f. 499). Mehrstimmig sind nur einige Ordinariumssätze.

Polyphony is in Bohemian chant notation with mensural elements. One main scribe, with several additions from the 17th century. One miniature. Manuscript is a Gradual containing monophonie music as well as polyphony.
